We at Diesel Power Products have an insane passion for horsepower and diesels. This is why we carry a full line of Casserly and Dynomite Diesel injectors for your 7.3L Powerstroke. When adding performance injectors to a 7.3L, we also recommend installing a Terminator Engineering High Pressure Oil System. Now, why would we recommend adding an oil pump when adding injectors you may be wondering. Simply put, the high pressure oil system on the 7.3L Powerstroke is used to actuate the fuel injectors. The volume and pressure that the high pressure oil pump can produce directly impacts the injection pressure and duration. With larger injectors, or even with stock injectors and a high performance program, the stock high pressure oil pump often can not keep up with the demand, causing lower injection pressure, more smoke and less power. Thus, by ensuring proper oil pressure, you can be sure that you're getting a proper supply of fuel through the injectors.
We also understand that you can't have horsepower without reliability. A truck is only built to handle so much abuse before one must modify it in order to preserve its longevity. And one of the weak points on ALL diesel trucks are the fuel pumps. We highly recommend a modified pump and filtration system, such as a FASS or Pureflow AirDog, coupled with a regulated return system, to help avoid costly repairs in the future, and to maintain fuel delivery to the engine, thus sustaining reliable horsepower and torque!
