Are you ready to upgrade the wheels on your F-150 but not sure where to start? There's an absolute ton of options when trying to decide what will look best on your Ford and give it the stance you're after, but the choices can be overwhelming with backspacing, offset, diameter, and bolt pattern to ensure you get exactly what you're after. First and foremost, you need to know that these trucks have a bolt pattern of 6x135. Depending on the factory trim package, these trucks came from the factory with a 17 inch, 18 inch, 20 inch, and even a 22 inch wheel. At the minimum, you'll need at least a 17 inch wheel in order to clear the brake calipers. Another common measurement for aftermarked wheels is backspacing. Simplistically put, backspacing refers to the distance from where the wheel physically mounts to the hub to the inner lip of the wheel. The more positive backspacing, the more "sucked in" your wheel will be. The less offset (and many times represented by a negative number), the further it will stick out of the wheel well. As always, if you have any questions about what wheels are right for your F-150, don't hesitate to give us a call or send an e-mail to [email protected] and we’d be happy to steer you in the right direction.
