It’s that time of year again, SEMA! For those unfamiliar, SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is the world’s largest trade show tailored towards the automotive aftermarket held in the Las Vegas Convention Center every fall. The show displays all of the latest and greatest, from newly released products, to complete vehicle builds, and even concept vehicles from original auto manufacturers, such as Ford. The show lasts for four days, and you simply cannot walk enough to see every exhibit. The show is vastly utilized for resellers to meet with prospective and current vendors in order to stay abreast of the latest products, as well as attend seminars that discuss various segments in the industry. Industry celebrities are always present for meet and greets, and overall while the event may feel overwhelming upon first entry, it’s a great asset for those in the industry.
Last year, we at Power Products Unlimited, Inc. had the opportunity of showcasing our Cummins 4BT powered Jeep JK in the BorgWarner booth, and received remarkable feedback from the build as it sat fully articulated in a booth most known for displaying turbocharged street cars. This year, Maxxis Tire has invited us to show off our acclaimed Raptor Super Duty in their booth. Adorning a massive set of 40×13.50×17 Maxxis M8060 Trepador tires should show off their products well, coupled with the other extensive modifications done to our Raptor Blue RSD. For those that have missed the original build process of this truck, check out a previous newsletter, shown here:
We will be loading up and headed out for the 1100 mile road trip starting Saturday, November 2nd. In order to keep the Raptor SD and its fresh set of Maxxis Trepadors looking as pristine as possible for the show, the truck will be loaded onto our 38’ triple axle car hauler (or should we say truck and Jeep hauler) trailer for the trek. This trailer has been essential for us attending various events across the country, as it allows us to tow up to two Jeep sized vehicles at once with plenty of room for gear. With the Raptor SD sat straddling the axles of this trailer, both adorn matching blue wheels, the package definitely draws a lot of attention. If you happen to see us en route, be sure to snap a picture and post it on our Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/dieselpowerproducts And if you happen to be fortunate enough to be attending the 2013 SEMA show, we look forward to possibly meeting in person.
