The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has extended it’s Parts In Progress (PIP) program once again. Now going until December 31, 2011, the PIP deadline is said to be postponed due to a lack of labratory time. The original end date was in June of 2011, and then September. The extension, at the request of SEMA, PIP is meant to prevent diesel trucks in California from being automatically rejected based on visual inspection.
