It’s over: the last United States Ford Ranger ever has been built.
A white Ford Ranger was created in the evening on Friday, December 16. With that, the 86-year-old Twin Cities Assembly Plant was shut down for good. With the termination of the plant also comes the termination of over 800 employees.
A Ford spokesperson said that two thirds of the workers will have the option to transfer to another Ford plant. Of course, these plants are all the way in Chicago or Louisville.
The Ford Ranger will continue to be manufactured and sold overseas.
